Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on October 29.
